It is tied easier than the full snell and it is stronger and neater than the “easier” snell(s).
One thing to attend to is the mouth line that needs to be kept on top of the hook shank, or it will not set the hook firmly when it's crunch-time.
If tying a hook with an eye run both ends of the line through the eye when you start tying the knot.
